Hi, I’m Carey French, a facilitator, educator and community member in Seattle, WA.
When I first learned about consent culture, it shifted my entire world. I was introduced to a new way of looking at my relationships, a new way of approaching sexual partners, and a new way of fighting rape culture. I started teaching workshops in the spring of 2014 and I haven’t stopped!
My work is grounded in inquiry, integrity, playfulness, and reflection. In a safe container to step close to our edges, we can examine the ways our culture has imprinted us in order to change our patterns and develop our understanding of ourselves. My workshops invite a somatic awareness of consent as it is present in our bodies. When we practice new skills to come into alignment with our needs and desires while respecting others boundaries, we grow into powerful agents of change. EmbodiedConsent.com
